Skin diseases such as acne are a sign of tardy metabolic process. Drinking lemon water with honey, first thing in the morning, helps boost metabolism and prevent skin diseases. Other common ailments that lemon can treat are the following:

  • Blackheads and Freckles- A combination of petroleum jelly and lemon can help you get rid of the blemishes.
  • Oily skin- If you have an oily skin, you can apply a mixture of egg white, lemon and juice of grapes to your face and then wash it off after about half an hour with warm water.
  • Dandruff- This is one of the most common skin disease and millions lose their hair, literally, for overcoming it. Most of the anti-dandruff shampoos contain chemicals which affect your hair adversely in the long run. A home remedy for this problem is massaging a mixture of Henna powder, egg, 1 tbsp of curd and juice of one fresh lemon onto your scalp. Wash your hair after about fifteen minutes.
  • Burn marks- Applying lemon juice to burn marks regularly can make them difficult to spot and in some cases disappear altogether.
  • Acne and Eczema- A mixture of lemon and olive oil when applied to the affected areas can relieve you of these symptoms
